Parent Talk Series: Raising Wise Kids In a Sexually Broken World

At Shelter Rock Church, our mission is to partner with families to lead kids and students into a transforming relationship with Jesus. This year, we are delighted to offer Saturday morning seminars called Parent Talk Series to help educate parents on important topics like discipling your kids, building positive communication, understanding your teen, how to talk about sexuality and gender, and more.

On Saturday, September 19th from 9-12:30PM at the Syosset Campus, we invite Laurie Krieg, director of Parent Programs & Discipleship at The Center for Faith, Sexuality and Gender and author of the book "Raising Wise Kids In a Sexually Broken World" for an informative half day parenting seminar.

How can parents and disciple-makers help the next generation to wisely walk in a sexually broken world like Jesus? What are four foundations they can lay underneath their children's feet so that no matter how their kids experience sin within them they have the tools they need to walk in the way of Jesus no matter what? Laurie Krieg has been teaching at the intersection of faith and sexuality for over a decade while parenting her own three kids with her husband. She will help us to unpack a biblically loving path forward.

$15/person, includes breakfast
